형제와 가족과 사역 위에 복된 새 해가 되기를 기원합니다.
이렇게 서신을 보내는 이유는 문서 사역과 교회의 다른 사역을 위해 우리에게 신실함을 담아 보내 주신 헌금에 대한 우리의 감사함을 표현하기 위해서입니다.
또한 귀 교회가 새해를 맞이하여 저희에게 친절하게 보내주신 선물 소포를 지난  주에 받았습니다.

다락방 선교 모임(the Mission Cell Group)이 우리에게 보여준 관용과 친절함에 우리의 마음을 담아 감사의 인사를 보냅니다.
선물을 통해 귀 교회의 우리들 한 사람 한사람을 향한 친절한 마음을 깨닫습니다.
우리는 귀 교회의 교인들이 어떤 물질적인 보상을 기대함 없이 이 같은 일을 하고 있음을 잘 인식하고 있습니다.
또한 교인들이 주님의 사랑을 위해 그리고 주님의 명령에 순종함으로 이 일을 하고 있음을 알고 있습니다.          
여러분을 축복하며 신실함을 담아 감사드립니다.

여섯 권으로 된 신할라어 (Sinhala) 성경 사전을 만드는 일이 계속 진행되고 있습니다.
그리고 사전 원본이 올 해가 끝나기 전에 출판사에 보내질 수 있기를 소망합니다.
그리고 신할라어를 사용하는 기독교 사역자들에게 도움이 될 다른 책들도 출판되었습니다. 이 책들은 신할라 성경 사전을 위해 연구 조사하는 과정에서 수집한 부가 자료들을 활용하여 만든 것입니다.
우리는 인근의 도시들에 있는 목회자들을 가르치기 위해 그들을 방문하기도 합니다.

우리는 목사님과 교인 여러분, 그리고 새로남 교회를 위해 매일 기도합니다.
바라기는 선하신 주님께서 형제 에스라와 형제의 아내 그리고 두 아들을 항상 축복하시기를 기원합니다.
주님께서 변함없이 형제를 사용하시기를 기도하며, 또한 형제의 사역이 주님 나라의 확장과 많은 사람들에게 하나님의 복을 전하는 사역이 되기를 기도합니다.

Dear Brother Ezra,

We wish you, your family and ministry a blessed new year.
This is to express our gratitude for the money you have been faithfully sending to us regularly to do writing and other Christian ministry.
We also received the gift parcels the church kindly sent to us for the new year, which we collected last week.
Please convey our grateful thanks to the Mission Cell group for their generosity and kindness towards us.
We recognize the kind sentiments that the church has for us personally.
We are aware of the fact that they do this without expecting any material reward.
We know that they do it for the love of the Lord and in obedience whit His commandments.
We bless and thank them sincerely.

We are continuiusly working on the sixth volume of the Bible Encyclopedia in Sinhala.
We hope to see that the manuscript would be given to the printers some time before the end of this year.
We have also published some other books which would be helpful to Sinhala speaking Christian ministers from the additional material which I collect while doing research for the Sinhala Bible Encyclopedia.
We also go out to teach pastors in distant cities.

We pray every day for you and the ministry of the Saeronam Church.
May the Good Lord continue to bless you, your wife and the two sons.
We pray that the Lor will continuously use you and your ministry for the extension of His Kingdon and to bless others.
